How to add Chatloom to WordPress

Sign up for Chatloom, paste your website address, and copy your one-line chat code from Install.

In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New, search for “WPCode”, then install and activate it.

Open Code Snippets → Header & Footer.

Paste the code into the Footer box and click Save Changes.

Is there a WordPress plugin?
You don't need a Chatloom plugin. Paste the code with the free WPCode plugin (or your theme's footer scripts setting), and the chat appears on every page.
Does it work on WordPress.com?
Yes, on WordPress.com plans that allow plugins. Self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.org) works on any host.
Will it slow down my WordPress site?
No. The chat is a small script (about 13 KB) that loads after the rest of your page, so your pages appear just as fast.
Do I need a developer?
No. You copy one line of code from Chatloom and paste it into WordPress following the steps above. It takes a few minutes, and you can email the code to whoever looks after your site instead.
